Fees & Pricing
I believe high-quality trauma therapy should be transparent. You'll always know what services are included, what they cost, and what options are available before beginning treatment.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
A more accessible approach to KAP.
Many ketamine-assisted psychotherapy programs require clients to purchase expensive treatment packages before they've experienced a single session. Others bill for several hours of clinician time, even when much of the medicine session is spent quietly resting under an eye mask.
My bookended model is designed differently. Rather than charging for passive observation, I focus my clinical time where psychotherapy has the greatest impact: thoughtful preparation, therapeutic support before and after the medicine session, and careful integration afterward. During the medicine session itself, a trusted, pre-screened home chaperone provides physical support while I remain available throughout the dosing window should additional clinical support be needed.
The goal is simple: provide thoughtful, evidence-informed care while making KAP more financially accessible.
What's Included
Every KAP journey includes:
One 60-minute preparation session (before your first medicine session)
Live therapeutic support before and after each medicine session
On-call therapist availability throughout the dosing window
One 60-minute integration session after every medicine experience
Clients may begin with a single journey and decide whether to continue. There is no requirement to purchase a multi-session package upfront.
KAP Pricing
Bookended KAP includes therapist support before and after the medicine session, a required integration session after each journey, and therapist availability throughout the dosing window.
Full Accompaniment includes continuous therapist presence throughout the medicine session in addition to preparation and integration.
Many clients choose a hybrid approach, beginning with full accompaniment for their first session before transitioning to the bookended model for future journeys. We can decide together what best fits your comfort level, clinical needs, and budget.
Please note: Medical evaluation, prescription, and medication costs are billed separately through Journey Clinical and are not included in the prices above.
Flexible Payment Options
You don't have to commit to a full course of treatment upfront.
Most clients begin with a single preparation session and one medicine session before deciding whether to continue. For those pursuing a longer course of KAP, payment plans are available to help make treatment more financially accessible.
If cost is a concern, please don't hesitate to reach out. We can discuss options together.

Insurance
Otherside Therapy is an out-of-network private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.
Payment is due at the time of service. If you have out-of-network benefits, I provide detailed superbills that many insurance companies will reimburse in part or in full.
To make reimbursement easier, I also offer access to a secure claims-submission portal that can submit superbills directly to your insurance company on your behalf. Reimbursement varies depending on your specific plan, so I encourage you to contact your insurer to learn more about your out-of-network benefits.
Sliding Scale
I believe financial accessibility matters. A limited number of sliding-scale appointments are available for psychotherapy and KAP based on financial need.
If cost is a barrier, I encourage you to reach out. Together we can discuss whether a reduced fee may be appropriate.
You might consider requesting a reduced fee if you:
Have significant medical or disability-related expenses
Support children or other dependents
Have experienced barriers to employment or income
Are underemployed or unemployed
Are navigating financial hardship related to immigration, caregiving, or reentry
Hold multiple marginalized identities that contribute to ongoing economic inequity
If your financial circumstances allow, choosing to pay the full fee helps make reduced-cost therapy available to others in the community.
